Wordwyze [books]

Reviews

Don't take my word for it. Here is what some clients have had to say about WordWyze.

Wim Makker, Author of Breaking The Mould (2024) - Morrinsville, New Zealand

On recommendation from a friend we asked Colleen from Wordwyze Publishing to help us publish my book Breaking The Mould. Being totally unfamiliar in this field ourselves, Colleen helped us work through the whole process in a very clear and professional manner. We found her costs to be reasonable, and her suggestion of what printer to use saved us many dollars.
We enjoyed working with Colleen, and we have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who seeks to publish a book.

Dr Kudakwashe Nomore Tuwe, author of An African Village-Boy in Aotearoa New Zealand (2024) - Paraparaumu, New Zealand

I was so blessed to have Colleen Kaluza help me to publish my first book. Due to her professionalism and knowledge, she made my publishing journey both easy and enjoyable. I found Colleen’s communication style both quick and effective. As a result of our professional relationship, Colleen was able to attend one of my Book Launches as a guest speaker. I therefore do not hesitate to recommend Colleen to any author.

~ Lijlanie – author of Pieces of the Puzzle (2023) - Auckland, New Zealand~

It was such a pleasure working with Colleen as my editor. She was thorough, honest and encouraging. Colleen is very knowledgeable and sticks to deadlines. I will not think twice to use her as an editor again.

Alan Davey, Author of Just a Thought (2023) - Morrinsville, New Zealand

I was privileged to have Wordwyze Publishing support me in the editing and publication of my book last year.

Colleen and her husband Jan showed genuine interest in my book project and went out of their way in supporting me to see the book fulfilled the goals and vision I had for its publication.

Not being the sharpest pencil in the pack when dealing with technology it was wonderful to have Colleen and Jan come out to my home a number of times to work with me on editing and formatting the book.

I am confident in saying that without Colleen and Jan’s genuine support skills and expertise the publication of my book would have proven to be quite an ordeal and I suspect the end result a bit of a disappointment.

I would not hesitate in recommending Wordwyze Publishing to anyone looking for support and guidance in publishing their book.
You will find yourself in safe professional hands.

Justine Orme, Author of I am Beryl series, 25 to Life and Arabella - Snells Beach, New Zealand (2018-2022)

So very grateful to Colleen for her excellent and professional editing process.
What feels like a marathon task is made that much lighter by the efficiency and speed with which Colleen edits, suggests excellent changes, and also assists with all the tedious publishing tasks.
Our 2nd book together was edited and published in record time. Together, we have published a total of 4 my books and I'm writing the 5th one currently.

I can't recommend Wordwyze more highly.

Roz Innes, Author of A Royal Invitation (2022) - Orewa, NZ

Colleen was a great choice of publisher. She was professional in all my dealings with her and understood the "angst" of being a first time author. Her suggestions and editing were timeous and enhanced my devotional. I would definitely recommend her services.

Richy Fellows, Author of Wilderness like Eden, Granny Rainbow Shekinah, Heaven Through the Eyes of Children, The Father's Garden, Pre-Existence and Stones of Glory - Australia (2019-2024)

Colleen Kaluza has edited four and helped publish six of my books. I would recommend her skills and work to anyone who wants to publish a book. She stands strong in her convictions to please the Lord, and adds value and insights to bring a book to completion. At times, making sections greatly improved and enhanced. Colleen is diligent and professional, and I will be using her again in the future to publish.

Regan Kim, Author of Worship through Novels (2022)

Your work allows Christian writers to give birth to precious books like their children.
Five years of your dedication has enabled so many authors to achieve their dreams publishing their own books.
I pray that more great books will continue to come out in the future.
Hallelujah~

John Aldworth, Author of Forbidden History (2016), >Noah’s Land(2021), The Glory Of His Day (2022) and Miracle in the Dark (2023)- Te Aroha, New Zealand

In the hard world of book publishing, Colleen Kaluza is a friend indeed. She can add the professional touch to your manuscript, see that it meets legal and conventional requirements and produce it in an eye-catching cover design.

She has shepherded three of my books into online publication where they continue to sell and thus make a return on cost of production. Though I’m a retired journalist, writer, magazine editor and former sub-editor on papers that included Britain’s Daily Mail, Colleen’s help has been invaluable in curating my retirement scribblings into readable, marketable books.

A careful editor, Colleen is also highly skilled in layout, design and navigating the intricacies of preparing a book for listing online. I stumbled at the complex computer procedures required to self-publish online but Colleen came to my rescue.

Of course, her services come at a cost but the results in my case have been professionally produced books that sell and of which I have no need to be ashamed.

The latest, published in 2023, is ‘Miracle In The Dark’, which explores the often-missed truth behind near-death and out-of-the-body experiences.

Saundra Ramos - studying Political Science - USA (2021)

Colleen helped me with my mid-term and after so many years of not writing, one would think it's like riding a bike, right? NOT, lol.
After ALL her edits, I was amazed and glad that I asked for her services before turning in such a mistake-riddled mid-term for an excuse paper, lol. Nonetheless, I'm so impressed with her meticulous and thorough review/edits.
If I could give her a 10-star rating, then done!

Gill Brebner - Author of A Beautiful Thing - New Zealand (2020)

Colleen’s professional help was invaluable to me. Her knowledge and expertise helped my book become a reality and she was lovely to work with along the way. As a first-time author I really appreciated her suggestions, balanced with her respect for bringing my own ideas to the fore. I am still quite amazed to hold a physical copy of A Beautiful Thing in my hands, what a wonderful feeling! Thank you so much, Colleen.

Anna Cullen - fellow editor and proofreader (2020 - 2024) - Napier, NZ

I am delighted to recommend WordWyze to anyone who needs help toward getting their manuscript published. Colleen commissioned me, a fellow copy editor/proofreader, to do a second edit of her current project, 'A Kiwi in Pang' by Bev Bevan. I got to see the editing work she'd already done on it (she has a particularly good eye for structure), and also the beautifully creative cover page that she and her brilliant photographer husband have put together. Colleen also did the scanning and editing of the photos for the book, as well as formatting the whole manuscript ready for publishing. WordWyze is truly the whole package. They deliver a quality product and I will definitely be recommending their publishing services to future clients of mine.

Toria Newman - Author of A Million Reasons (2019), The Chrysalis (2018-2022), Undercover: Miss Speedy Wheels (2020) and The Forgiveness Files (2022) - Hamilton, NZ

My latest book, 'Undercover: Miss Speedy Wheels' was published with the very welcome help of Colleen at WordWyze. Excellently done. A beautiful job. I'm over the moon with the end product. Thank you so much.

Tere Davies, Author of Dreaming of Thee - Orewa, New Zealand (2020)

I would like to offer a very special thanks to my new-found friend and publisher, Colleen Kaluza of WordWyze Publishing. This woman has given so much of herself over to the process of nurturing me through a very emotional journey.

I often could not get my head around the new technology and would go back to my old portable typewriter - a similar typewriter my Gran had used during the war. I found I almost needed to be upskilled or retrained to transfer my mindset from an old typewriter to the computer keyboard. Colleen patiently encouraged and nursed me along with such humility, making sure always to remind me just why I had started this project in the very first place.

I became very excited when, during our Writer-Editor communication, it was apparent that she was truly becoming engaged with the family members within the pages - We were able to both share special stories and I am much richer for having had her, in particular, guide me through this process.

Robin Boom, Author of In Search of an Elusive God - Whatawhata, New Zealand (2019)

Colleen did an excellent job of editing my book, In Search of an Elusive God - in getting it to publication standard; type setting; paragraphing; etc. from the basic Word documents I had sent her.
She also helped in designing a cover for the book and sorting out all of the hassle for me of getting it printed.
From my working with Colleen, I have no hesitation in recommending her for assistance anywhere along the process of getting a book to final print.

Yvonne Simpson, co-editor and friend of Merle Bradley, Author of Ask Me About Merle - Hokitika, New Zealand (April 2018)

Colleen did a great job proofreading and editing Merle Bradley's book, "Ask Me About Merle". It was a pleasure to work with Colleen - and we highly recommend her services.
