Style Guides
A style guide or manual of style is a set of standards for the writing, formatting and design of documents.
A style guide establishes standard style requirements to improve communication by ensuring consistency both within a document, and across multiple documents.
For the most part, Wordwyze uses the »Guardian Style Guide. But if you have preferences that are different, we need to agree on this.
An example of what needs to be agreed on in a style guide, is how dates
and time are presented. For example, a date could be written as 25 February,
or February 25th. Time can be in 12-hour format, or 24-hour format, with a
colon, or with a period.
In Christian terms, we need to agree on whether you want us to use heaven
or Heaven. Or capitalize all pronouns pertaining to God and Jesus.
It's also important to agree on which English we will use for spell-checking, American English, or British English?
At this point in time, WordWyze is still working on a basic House-style.
