Wordwyze provides a comprehensive range of services at reasonable
rates. All prices are a guide and shown in New Zealand Dollars.
The rates may vary, depending on the
initial analysis of a sample or your entire manuscript. Some books
or manuscripts require a lot more work than others, and the rates quoted
must reflect that.
Why you need a Professional Proofreader and/or Copy Editor
Why would you need a proofreader?
Surely, word processors come with inbuilt spellcheckers?
Yes. But how does a word processor know whether you meant to use
"heir" or "air", "hear" or "here"?
And then there's the issue of checking that the audience you're writing
for will understand what you're trying to say.
Or checking that the image you are using, fits with the content you've
written.
At Wordwyze, we take care to help you produce quality work, so that your
audience/readers will enjoy and respect your work.
You can read more about the different facets of getting your manuscript
ready and published on these pages:
Theses, essays, articles and other short documents
Depending on the project, this will be primarily proofreading and copy
editing. PLEASE NOTE: having us do your proofreading and editing does not
guarantee that you will get an A at university!
We will format the work to the specifications you supply.
Once we hand your work back to you, we will destroy our copy of your work.
It is your responsibility to keep a backup of your work. At your request,
we can keep a backup, which will be kept off-line.
Books
Once the editing process is completed and the author is satisfied, the
manuscript will be formatted for print copies and/or converted to Ebook
(as required).
The cover design (if requested) is ongoing during the process. We work
WITH the authors to design a cover that they will be happy with.
It's your book; you want to be proud of it when you hold it in your
hands!
We also arrange for the ISBNs (International Standard Book Number) and
prepare the corresponding barcode for the book cover.
At the end of the process, we will also organize the Legal Deposit with
the NZ National Library (if you're in NZ).
If you're in a different country, we will help you with the process
of doing what is required.
Once all the documents are ready for publication, your book is uploaded
to a POD (Print-on-Demand) service which will propagate the book to the
worldwide market, including Amazon.
If you are wanting your books printed here in New Zealand this can also
be arranged. The cost of printing is additional to
any fees you've paid for our services. Please note there is no additional
service charge for this.
And at this point, we can rejoice! Your book is published! Well Done!
